erin

alexander wang erin boots (available here)

more shoes, you ask? actually, i've been pining away for these for months like a lovesick school girl. alexander wang accessories seem to be a weakness of mine whether i manage to acquire them or not.
i was half expecting them to be at least marginally uncomfortable due to them being a touch narrow, but thankfully that is not at all the case.

i also expect they'll wear in and age beautifully which i'm rather looking forward to.

saint laurent fall

this collection caught me completely off guard, because for some reason i definitely wasn't expecting for hedi slimane and i to be on the same page when it comes to harbouring 90's nostalgia. clearly i'm wandering around with my eyes shut.

tulle, sequins, the knee length leather duster that my inner buffy the vampire slayer loving teenager has been pining away for for as long as i can remember, lindsey wixson's hair and a pale rose pink fur coat — yes, a thousand times, yes.

asymmetry

zara skort

structured, asymmetrical wrap skirts (or in this case, skorts) are definitely my jam (think proenza schouler, ellery and so on and so forth, you get the idea). aside from the obvious centerpiece-like qualities these types of pieces bring to an outfit, one of the main reasons i'm particularly drawn to them is because they don't overwhelm my small frame. believe me, there are children who are less vertically challenged than i am. so due to this minor drawback i'm constantly trying to avoid looking like some obscure creature drowning in a sea of fabric.

petite readers, i know you're with me on this.

luisa

so, of course the first time i came across these and after making a mental note that i should probably grab a pair — because if you're me, finding a pair of shoes is like trying to track down a unicorn — they sold out in my size. a few short months after that i discovered they were back, in my size and mine all mine.

really, i swear this isn't a shoe blog.
